Les Ateliers Affayache in Agadir embarked on its journey as a machine manufacturing business, eventually expanding its reach to export machinery to France, Portugal, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Greece, and Tunisia. Initially when it started in 2010, the company focused on argan oil production machinery made completely in-house and sold in Morocco and then in 2017 they started to export their equipment internationally. They have achieved remarkable success in exporting their innovative cosmetic argan oil and prickly pear seed oil extraction machines to multiple countries.

As you walk into their workshop, you are greeted by the hum of machinery and the rhythmic clang of metal. On the ground floor, technicians meticulously craft small, intricate parts for prickly pear and argan oil machines, while upstairs, another team focuses on building machine frames. The company offers 20 different models and customization options, specializing in equipment for producing prickly pear and argan oil. Known for their reliability, they have forged lasting partnerships with argan oil cooperatives around Morocco. Committed to long-term collaboration, they assist clients from product specifications to routine maintenance. Despite a decline in industry interest and production over the years, this business has become more resilient by diversifying its operations.

The business’s drive to diversify and strengthen its operations mirrors the symbiotic nature of the prickly pear cactus and argan tree. Just as these two species thrive through mutual support, this company embraces new opportunities and adapts to market demands, maintaining a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Their journey from a local startup to an international exporter reflects a dedication to innovation and excellence in machine manufacturing. By expanding their range of products and services, they not only respond to the evolving needs of their clients but also secure their place in a competitive global market.
