Blog #2.1 Meet Joliette Li

Bio: Joliette is pursuing her Ph.D. in Environmental Systems at the University of California, Merced. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. She is interested in renewable energy and sustainability. Her current research is assessing the life cycle environmental impacts of solar photovoltaic panels covering irrigation water canals in California.

Pre-departure Thoughts: I am very excited and nervous to travel to Morocco. It is my first time flying to Europe and Northern Africa as most of my international travels are to Asia. I look forward to learning the process of making argan oil and knowing the history and culture of Morocco.
